Congratulations to our 2013 graduates!
The Simone de Beauvoir Institute offers four undergraduate programs:
- a BA Major in Women's Studies (42 credits)
- a BA Specialization in Women's Studies (60 credits)
- a Minor in Women's Studies (30 credits)
- a Certificate in Women's Studies (30 credits)
All students registered in the Specialization, Major, Minor, or Certificate in Women's Studies are members of the Institute. Other undergraduate students are welcome to become members if they undertake to complete nine credits of WSDB courses.
All newly admitted students must meet with the Academic Advisor before they can register for courses. All students are welcome to consult with the advisor when needed. Advising is done by appointment. Advising sessions are held Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9:30 and 11:30. For new students, the session usually takes 30 minutes.
The co-curricular life of the Institute is extremely important, and all members are expected to contribute to our activities. Exciting opportunities are available to organize workshops, colloquia, and debates on subjects that interest the members, to participate in the Women's Studies Student Association (WSSA), as well as to collaborate with women's organizations outside the University on research projects and other joint ventures.
